Content creation is the writing. Content strategy is the thinking that makes the writing worth doing. Strategy covers what to publish, who it's for, which keywords to target, how each piece maps to your buyer journey, and what success looks like in numbers. Without strategy, you're just publishing and hoping. I do both, but I'll never write a word until the strategy makes sense.

Sometimes, yes. But only if the industry has a clear regulatory framework I can study and internalize before writing a single word. My core expertise is regulated industries: healthcare under AHPRA, financial services under ASIC, therapeutics under TGA. If your industry has compliance guardrails, I'll learn them properly. If it's a category with zero regulatory complexity, honestly, you might not need me. A generalist would do fine.
