They called their own physios, clinic or care specialist or specialised. Physiotherapy has no specialist registration.

Ahpra's guidelines say the college award must be named beside that kind of title. None of the 35 did. Try: our physios work mainly in pelvic health.

Outcome claims

8 said cure, fix or resolve.

One homepage said: Fix it. Don't live with it. A page can offer an assessment. It cannot promise a result.

Devices

8 made device claims.

If a service ad also advertises a device, the TGA regulates that part too. Offer pessary fitting as a service. Leave the product claims out.

The internal exam

14 of 30 never said you can say no.

30 sites described their internal exam. 16 said it is optional or needs consent. One clear line: it is entirely your choice, and can be declined or paused at any time.

Prolapse figures

1 of 10 named a source.

10 sites gave a prolapse figure, from 1 in 12 to 1 in 2. Name the study and the year, or leave the number out.

The fix

Plain, factual, still warm.

Say what the physio has done. Say what the exam involves and that it is a choice. Keep reviews to the visit, never the body.
